The Coast to Coast Tour is an incredible golfing adventure that takes guests on a journey across the scenic landscapes of Scotland, showcasing some of the country's most renowned golf courses and distilleries. Over the course of nine days, participants will have the opportunity to play spectacular courses, experience the finest Scottish whiskies, and enjoy luxurious accommodation. As with every AGS Sample Tour, a full Scottish breakfast is included to compliment your tour experience. Let's dive into the tour plan:
Day One: Upon arrival at the airport, guests will make their way to the iconic Balmoral hotel, where they will spend their first two nights of their tour in the very heart of Edinburgh.
Day Two: The tour commences with a trip from the Balmoral hotel to the picturesque Gullane No. 1 golf course, situated along the stunning East Lothian coastline. Following their round and subsequent trip back into Edinburgh, guests will have the chance to visit the Scotch Whisky Experience, where they can dive headfirst into Scotland's whisky heritage. The SWE has an incredibly wide range of packages available to patrons based on budget, group size and overall preference, so interchangeability at the discretion of guests is no issue whatsoever. Guests will then return to the Balmoral hotel for an incomparably comfortable overnight stay.
Day Three: On day three guests will check out of the Balmoral and embark on a journey to the prestigious Gleneagles resort. Upon arrival, they will have the privilege of playing the Queens Course, an exceptional course laboured over by the iconic James Braid some hundred years ago. Guests will spend the night at Gleneagles, indulging in the resort's luxurious amenities.
Day Four: Day four is designated as a free day for guests to relax or explore the surrounding area at their leisure. In the late afternoon should they so choose, guests will journey from Gleneagles to the nearby Glenturret distillery for a Michelin star dinner, enjoying some unforgettable and unmissable culinary delights. Guests will return to Gleneagles hotel in the evening for another refreshing overnight stay.
Day Five: The luxury tour experience continues as guests tee off at Gleneagles Kings course, regarded by some as the world’s very best moorland course; golfers are in round not to be forgotten. After their game, guests may choose to make the most of their final night in the hotel by enjoying some of Gleneagles’ state of the art leisure amenities.
Day Six: Guests on this day will leave Gleneagles and embark on a journey to Dundonald Links and lodgings on the West coast of the country, situated near Turnberry. They will have the opportunity to play this exceptional links course, known for its challenging layout and glorious views. Following the game, guests will not have to travel far as they will be staying in the nearby lodgings at Dundonald Links in the new and frankly state-of-the-art lodges.
Day Seven: Rising in the west coast, the tour continues with a trip from Dundonald Links lodgings to the much celebrated Western Gailes links course, said to present golfers with a real challenge across a round that is sure to require them to use every club in their bag. After their game, guests will make their way back to their lodgings for another hearty and comfortable overnight stay.
Day Eight: On the final full day of their tour, guests will travel to the unmistakeable fairways of Turnberry where they will play the Ailsa course which, over the years, has laid host to numerous Open championships and some of the most famous golfers and individuals the world over. After their round which will undoubtedly live long in the memory of guests, golfers will travel back to their lodgings for the final evening of their tour with hopefully much to talk about.
Day Nine: Awaking in their lodgings on their final day, guests will travel to their airport of their choice for their journey home.
